Simis third graders had the opportunity to enter the Valley Transit "Cool Bus Stuff Contest" in October. They had to create an image of a city bus or the light rail that promoted community, environmentalism and safety. We had about ten students who entered finished pieces. Twelve pieces were judged and selected out of close to 700 entries and chosen to be used in a calendar. Out of the twelve winners, Simis had three pieces selected!
